Mandrake 9.1 boot problems with pcmcia
I finally got mandrake dual booted with xp. and now when it is loading it freezes up on starting pcmcia cards when I don't have any in the slot. Also, when I put in my wireless card the lights never turn on. Any suggestions?

you can stop the pcmcia serivce from running at boot time.
'chkconfig pcmcia off'
you need to install the wireless lan drivers for the card.
take a look at this link

what wireless card do you have? If possible, post the exact FCCID printed on the back as well as the make/model. You should be aware that some of the cards listed on the sourceforge pcmcia "supported cards" list have changed their chipsets and will *not* work with the modules they are listed under, or any other module in the package, don't despair, many *will* work, but you'll need to download/compile the modules.
