Mandrake 10.1 for Dell Inspiron 700M notebook

Hi All,

I recently got a Dell Inspiron 700M with 1.6Ghz. I am craving to install linux on it with a dual boot. I want to put mandrake latest version on it and was wondering whether anyone has any feedback on running 10.1 running on a dell notebook.
I have a 60gb HD and Windows XP/HOME and plannig to shrink the windows partition in order to give room to linux. Please let me know. Thanks in advance.

I too have a dell 700m that I installed mandrake 10.1 on. the install was a breeze but I could not for the life of me get my wireless to work or get the monitor to display the correct 1280x800 resolution. But then again, I am a complete and utter Linux N00b so you might have better luck than me. Other than that I really enjoy using it.
