Madwifi installation issuue
Hi Guys,
I followed the guide on installing madwifi atheros driver for my notebook running backtrack OS. However, when i reached the below steps, i am hit with the error indicated below what could be the problem ? Is it the source.list link issue ? Command Code:
module-assistant auto-install madwifi-source Code:
Updated infos about 1 packages |
It appears that the madwifi-source package is not in the software repository or not on the mirror that you are accessing.

You may have to get the source code from the madwifi web site.
http://sourceforge.net/projects/madwifi/ Then you will have to compile it and install it yourself. Have you looked into using the ath9k driver? |

If you mean how to download the ath9k driver then it may be in your distribution's software repository.

sorry i am a guest and i use 'pclinuxOS' on a dell latitude d610
but it fails not only to access wireless connection but even to detect so i request you for hlp. if possible send me the list of instructions in my e-mail which is (kainja@live.com) |
