Question Mac Powerbook 1400c

Ok, i've got an interesting one here, I happen to come across a free Powerbook 1400c that a neighbor of mine gave me. It's old, it's thick and I really have no use for it running mac os. I would like to put linux on it for net and aim purpouses and really nothing else, I just want to have it in the living room with me. Also, I would like to learn a little more about Linux with it, HOWEVER, I have no idea if I can even put linux on it. I don't know if it's too old, too slow, or just not compatible, but I did find a site where someone had put Linux on a 2400c series, so if ANYONE could help me out here, I'd really like to utilize this old powerbook using linux b.c I don't like macs, mac os or anything dealing with macs, BUT, it was a FREE laptop... so i'm not bitching. Anyway, if anyone could help me out it would be GREATLY appreciated.

Yes, Linux will run on a mac. PC's usually have the x86 achetecture (thats like AMD or Intel). A mac has PPC archetecture, which is proprietary to macs. As far as Linux supporting that specific laptop, I don't know, but I'd say most likely it does. Check your Distro's HCL to see if it does support that laptop.

P.S. Sorry about my bad spelling
