linux safe PCMCIA ethernet card?

I just acquired a Toshiba Portege 3020CT. Fairly old machine, currently has Debian installed. Now, I want to put Vector Linux on it. The problem is that it has no floppy, no CD, no network.

Can anyone recommend a safe network card to purchase for this? Once I have that, I hope to be able to install Vector from the hard drive.

Thanks.

I have a couple of 3com cards all work flawlessly under all the dists I've tried. Also might try the HCL on this site.
