just trying to keep everyone up to date, i've tried reinstalling 3 times now and no such luck, i've tried laptop, full install, and then i tried updateing installing patches for anything that i could of thought of, i tried configing the mbr, and tried entering items into the block list but could not log in as root since it won't even load linux, but if i set a password in grub, i can log into grub, and change boot sectors

please help????

well it is a newer laptop and rh 7.3 is an older distrobution version. have you tried a more up-to-date distro?

edit: changed up2date as i didn't mean redhat's up2date service. just meant up-to-date as in newer distro.
