Linux on n1020v and graphics issue

I am using Debian Etch on a Evo n1020V.

I experience some problems with graphics in X-org (eg. i cannot switch between X and console with Alt-Fx without the graphics screwing up and a slow recovery from screensaver)

I also want to be able to use both internal and external monitor with different resolutions.

anyone who is willing to share their kernel .config-file and Xorg.conf?

best regards
Johan

Slow recovery from Xscreensaver could be caused by combined effect of lack of Direct rendering and OpenGL screensaver, which uses all CPU power.

I don't use external monitors on my laptops but I don't know of any way to switch to an external monitor without writing a different Layout or XF86Config and restarting X.
