Linux on MicronPC Transport LT with dual boot bios

I am trying to load Ubunto 7.04 on a MicronPC Transport LT notebook that appears to have a dual boot bios. I was unsuccessful with the 7.04, but did succeed in loading FC2.

During the install it appears that the drive is partitioned in half, but the install only shows the 2nd half of the drive. Is there someway to confirm if this true? Any suggestions how to access the first half of the drive if it is true?

When the system boots it only shows the FC2 in the loader.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Can you post the model number?

Your notebook may have a restore partition or something that can play DVDs without booting an operating system.

Post the output of the following console command
fdisk -l (must be root and that is a small L)

Thanks for suggestion. I will check it out. The model number is NBK001566-00. I submitted a request for email assistance to MPC and got this reply:

"The hard drive would have two partitions on it. One of them is a save to
disk feature. You can get the details from the manual. There would be no
setting in the bios to change the hard drive. You could just fdisk the
drive."

I have tried using fdisk -l as root from sbin, but get the following error message:

bash: fdisk: command not found
