Linux on compaq evo n610c
 

Hello,

from my job I got a compaq evo n610c.
Of course with windows XP.
Next to it I want to install linux (I'm used to mandrake) and would want to have some informations from thhose who managed to have it work correctly before installing it. I mainly heard about acpi problems and heating. Compiling a new kernel is no trouble so if a new kernel, apart from the original kernel given by mandrake (I've got 9.2 at home, but completely customized and want to install 10.0), is needed, I'll do it.
