Probably not. I'm not sure that for any application there is one 'best distro', unless there is only one distro that will run.

That sounds like an ARM7 cpu (I don't know, the manufacturer is unclear), it will be on the slow side and 128M of RAM is rather a limitation.

hi again

thanks salasi for the tip, then i will rephrase my question.. may i know how to install any linux distro ported on ARM platform that will work in ARM AK 7802?(link to tutorials) ,my sister just want to surf the net using linux. the reason for this is that windows ce 5.0 pre-installed in her netbook does not support her usb broadband kit, but i had it working in my ubuntu linux just by installing udev-extras, wvdial and changing some setting in wvdial.conf. so i thought if linux can install on her netbuk maybe i can set it to work on usb broadband.

The CPU for your sister's netbook is actually ARM9 based.

I'm no expert, but according to Google, Debian and Ubuntu seem capable of install for ARM926EJ CPUs.

Running on ARM is no problem.. the problem is installing on embedded devices. For this reason many people go for dedicated embedded distributions that may (or may not) have images tailored to specific devices. Perhaps have a look at angstrom. http://www.angstrom-distribution.org.
