Linspire with wireless proxim cards

Hi:
Does anybody know if Linspire works with Orinoco 802.11b PC Cards? I loaded a copy of Linspire live to test hardware and I could not get any wireless signal. I could only get a hard-wired connection to the net. I was also having troubles getting my ViewSonic external monitor to work with it

What have you done so far to try and resolve the problems? And is the wireless card being detected, or you are just not getting a signal from it?
