Question Latitude XPi P133ST, ES1888 Audio Drive

Guys I have an old P133 laptop that I bought off ebay about a month ago now. Anyway, I have nearly everything I need configured apart from the sound .

Its an ES1888 Audio Drive chip, that about all I know, here is some other stuff:

Kernel: 2.4.21

isapnp doesn't show anything

I have Soundblaster compiled as a module (sb).

Thanks in advance,

It looks to be covered by the sb module, now here's the headache, the sb module takes a LOT of arguments. Try:

/sbin/modprobe sb io=0x220 irq=5 dma=3 dma16=5 mpu_io=0x300

If that loads, but doesn't actually work, (make certain to check the mixer first), then rmmod the module and try a different irq setting, check:

cat /proc/interrupts

To see what's already taken.

Cheers,

Finegan
