laptop switches off (Asus Z53T)

Hi
I have an Asus mounting a Turion64 dual core cpu with Vista and Fedora12 (32-bit). everything worked fine till I started a program. After few minutes, the computer switches abruptly off. I do not think is a temperature problem (acpitool says Thermal zone 1 : ok, 60 C that raised to 66 just before off), and this problem happened always when I run it (relatively high cpu demanding) both with battery and/or AC, with warm and hot case).
The /var/log/messages always displays this at shutdown:

Nov 24 10:20:38 localhost kernel: ACPI Exception: AE_AML_PACKAGE_LIMIT, Index (0FFFFFFFE) is beyond end of object 20090521 exoparg2-445
Nov 24 10:20:38 localhost kernel: ACPI Error (psparse-0537): Method parse/execution failed [\_TZ_.STRP] (Node f6c14f30), AE_AML_PACKAGE_LIMIT
Nov 24 10:20:38 localhost kernel: ACPI Error (psparse-0537): Method parse/execution failed [\_GPE._L02] (Node f6c14d38), AE_AML_PACKAGE_LIMIT
Nov 24 10:20:38 localhost kernel: ACPI Exception: AE_AML_PACKAGE_LIMIT, while evaluating GPE method [_L02] 20090521 evgpe-568

Is it a kernel problem? should I change linux version or upgrade it @ 64bit? really don't know.
hope you can help. Thanxxxxx

Hmmmm this makes me think that something is calling the wrong ACPI functions and its hitting the one that tells the system to shut off. Ill have to investigate further to find some kinda of useful solution for you in the meantime you can disable ACPI on kernel boot and see if that prevents the shut down. I think the kernel parameter is just acpi=off
