Laptop screen not working

ok i have a hp zt3010us laptop dual booting with the latest redhat and win xp,

everything works fine except whenever i close the screen of my laptop and open it again, it won't turn back on,

there still is an output because if i connect my laptop to an external screen it works

Does anyone know how i can fix this, Thanks
