laptop hardware


hey guys i have two buttons for my hp n5295 pavilion laptop one makes the volume go up, and the other go down; mandrake wont recognize these two buttons, help they are very very useful

this is theoretical:
seems to me you'll need to indentify the scan codes of said keys and then change your keymap to recognize and perhaps categorize them as "hotkeys" which you could (theoretically) map to the volume control.

You could also google for xbindkeys. It has a fancy gui config tool that lets you setup all your key bindings in X. Really quite good.

and check out www.linux-laptop.net in my case someone already posted the scan codes of the hot keys maybe some one already done it for you too

nakkaya, that is a really cool sig,

zetsui, "discourage" is spelled, well, like I just spelled it. You may want to edit your sig.
