Question Laptop + External LCD Monitor in FC5 with NVIDIA GeForce Go6800

I have a Dell Inspiron 9300 that I'm trying to get Fedora Core 5 working properly on.

It works great in all aspects except that I can't get it to work with the monitors the way I want to configure it. (I.E. the way I had it in Windows).

I'm trying to get the Laptop Screen to 1920x1200 (or close enough) and I have an external KDS 15" LCD that's connected to the VGA port in the back of the laptop that I'd like to run at 1024x768. I'd like to have the KDS LCD on the right hand side of the Laptop Screen.

I downloaded the nVIDIA driver, downloaded the kernel source, downloaded gcc, etc, and installed the driver with no problem (eventually). My Laptop Screen always gets recognized as Radius5 and my KDS LCD gets recognized as Vesa (Or generic, I think that means). The problem is that they're never recognized at the same time. Enabling 'dual display' in the Display Manager has no effect, and after FC5 finishes booting up on the Laptop Screen (right when it loads the nVIDIA drivers and brings up Gnome) it switches from the Screen to the LCD.

I'll post my xorg.conf file when I get home from work, but I was wondering if anyone had any ideas. I've seen people play around with the file and get it to work, but without understanding what I change and why, I don't get anything out of it.

Just wondering if anyone had any thoughts before I get back and post the xorg.conf

I think all I need to do is tell the driver that both monitors are on the one card and to use it for both (Not sure how to do that). Also, it's a laptop, so if I ever move it, I won't have my second monitor. Is there a quick way change between two and one? two config files that I swap? Easier way?

Thanks
