laptop bios password recovery

I was cancelling the bios password on a HP omnibook 900 and I entered the old password and then I pressed enter.

Now it asks for a password and I dont know what it is.

Any ideas on how to get around this.

There's usually a pin reset button of sorts, something you can stab with an unfolded paperclip while the machine is off that'll reset the bios to defaults. It might be under the keyboard or under a baseplate. I was going to try to the HP support docs, but there are a lot of 'em, so its your turn:
