Unhappy LAN port problem in ubuntu 12.04


Hi

I have installed Ubuntu 12.04 in my Lenovo Z580 Laptop, but it is not detecting LAN port however the Wifi port is working fine, Plesae suggest how to resolve the issue.

Hi Punith,
You need to start checking with lspci -v or lshw. After that you will get to know, whether the hw and modules are there/loaded or not.
Code:
lspci -vv | egrep Eth -A 20
