Kubuntu on Dell Latitude L400: i'm impressed, and need some help with my wi fi card
well... i just tried kubuntu, and i have to say that i am impressed... it picked up most of my hardware with no problem (video, sound, etc) and it was faster than WinXP, even running it from the CD... however, before i take the final step and install it, i need some help with the one thng it didn't pick up: my wireless card
I have an airlink101 AWLC3026 802.11g card, and when i booted into kubuntu, not even the power light on the card turns on...
any ideas on how to make it work? ideally i would like to try and make it work before installing it, so i can have internet access right away to solve any lingering problems...
I made a small partition for kubuntu, and installed it, so for now i am on dual-boot...
about the wireless card: after some reading, i realized that i need to load the driver with ndiswrapper... the only problem is that since i don't have internet access without my wireless card, , i can't get the ndiswrapper-utils package, so i can't get the drivers to work...
can anyone tell me where to get that package?
EDIT: nevermind, i just found it... i will report back, hopefully from linux...
