I have a Gateway laptop with a synaptics trackpad and Mandriva 2006 installed 3 days ago. Been getting things working (woo, wifi!) and so far, so good, except...
Tapping wasn't working, no matter what settings I tried, so I started poking about in the xorg.conf file. I saved the trackpad-related settings in a text file just in case the settings I tried didn't take and I needed to revert. They didn't, so I did - here's how the file looks at the moment:

The trackpad works, but the scroller is dead! I can get by without tapping, but the scroller is a must. What's even worse is that it even works in the language menus on the live CD - Mandriva definitely doesn't have trouble working with this aspect of the component from what I can see, so...Any suggestions on how to revive it?
