keyboard stops working on my laptop after red hat 9 install loads
I am having trouble installing red hat 9 on my hp pavilion ze4430us laptop

I put the cd in it boots up the install and at first my keyboard works but after I choose either the graphical or text install and it comes to the page where it asks if I want to test or skip my computer wont do anything. Maybe there is something simple that I can do to fix this but I dont know what it is because I have been mostly a windows person. I am assuming that maybe my keyboard drivers are not available on the install disk.. any help would be appreciated and if you need to see the specs. on my laptop at

I have the same problem with my lappy with slackware and redhat

this is the only solution I figured out

after you pick graphical or text (right before ur keyboard stops responding)

keep pressing and key while its loading up the will then have a keyboard

I suggest using a arrow key if u hit enter it will check media which is boring...

Try disabling "Legacy USB Devices" in your BIOS.
That did the trick for me in my Slackware installation.
