I have seen a problem where it was necessary to start pressing keys as the kernel loads or the keyboard is not found.

What you need to do is go into the BIOS setup and disable USB Legacy support. Then the the install should work fine.

I had the same problem on an HP xe4610us, and disabling the legacy USB (following the suggestion on this thread) solved the problem.
One question though: how is that USB legacy disabled will affect me in the future?

Once you do your first kernel update with up2date, you can re-eanble it. Actually, you might not even need. You might be able to enable it right after install is complete.

My ze5185 worked fine after install, it was only the boot kernel on the install cd with the problem.
