Unhappy Keyboard and touchpad problems!

Dear friends,

I recently installed Mandrake 10.0 on my HP-Compaq nx7000 laptop. Most things looks to be working OK but there are major problems regarding the keyboard and touchpad. The keyboard sometimes hangs and doesn't work at all and in order to re-activate it I have to log out and log in or even reboot system. But again it works for a short period of time and the same story! The touchpad always works even the keyboard is responding but it never behaves like a real touchpad but more like mouse because when I hit the pad to click on something it doesn't work and always I have to use touchpad buttons for clicking on something. My laptop specifications are: Centrino 1.4 GHz, 512 MB RAM, Radeon Mobility 9200 graphics, 40GB HDD, CD-RW/DVD, LAN/Modem. Before intallation I erased the entire disk and put the Mandrake as single OS. I appreciate your help as I need to fix these problems ASAP.

Thanks
