Post Kde crash on sony vaio grt715b and grt816M

Hi everybody,

I got a problem, I wasted my time today, searching wherever I can.
I can't find out.

I got two SONY VAIO laptop.

When I install linux with KDE, when I run kde, during step 3 ( detecting devices ) kde freeze and I got no other choice than reboot.

I can't figure it out !
I have to launch the kernel with " noapic " option to get the installation and then the kernel works. I don't know if it can help you ...

Gnome works well ! no problem !
It seems to me, that it can come from /des/sda, which is the memory stick of the laptop. kde while detecting devices, would freeze on it ? Or kde don't use noapic and then freeze ... just thought ...

I tried with mandrake and red hat.

Thanx you.
