KALI on Lenovo B590
OK Guys,
please dont laugh, but after working with Linux for more than a decade i reached the point on which i may have to compile my first kernel. My Problem: I installed KALI Linux on my new laptop and my onboard-wifi (Broadcom 43142) wont work. The tutorials ive read so far telling me to download the driver and compile a new kernel. But when i want to download the linux-headers via apt-get i run into an error, packet not found in the KALI reps. As far as i remember KALI is using some modified or specially compiled kernel and i am not sure if its optimal to compile a standard kernel with debian sources. Am i right or is this bullshit? i would appreciate any input. lee |
you probably need a wired connection to fix.
