IrDA problem

Hi all,

I have Knoppix 3.4 (Debian testing/unstable) distribution installed on my FujitsuSiemens Amilo Pro V2000 laptop. In order to have support for the laptop hardware (SD/MMC slot, PCMCIA, wireless, firewire, IrDA ...) I had to compile new kernel but I still have problem with the IrDA driver because nsc-ircc module did not compile cleanly and was not installed during the compilation. The irda chip is NSC6001 and can work in FIR mod only.
Is there anyone whit this kind of laptop or irda chip that succeeded with irda configuration on Linux? I did a lot of searching but I didn't find any solution for this problem. Maybe someone knows where can I find the source code for this driver and install it manually? Or maybe there is some other module that can provide support for this irda chip?
