Intel wireless card drivers?

I intended to install wireless drivers in linux for my Intel network card ... but apparently there are none.

Does anyone know where i could find "freeware" drivers for it, somewhere else?

If someone could get me a key generator for the linux ant driver loader ... that would be great.

Have not had any time with this option or know much about it, but go here http://www.linuxant.com and check out their way of using Winblows NDIS drivers under Linux. I don't know how it works or if it is any good. Maybe some others can check it out and see what they think and comment about it.

I have tried the linuxant driver on my gateway 450x and intel wireless and it works great. So great that I might be willing to pay the $20 US after the free trial.

I had to take care to use the 'w70n51' .sys and .inf Winblows NDIS drivers but after I got them together things worked great. Use 'unzip' to grab the .sys and .inf files from the .exe driver.

There is a free NDIS loader out there (I forget where; use google) but I couldn't get it to work.

I downloaded the linuxant wrapper too. I tried the ndiswrapper first, but it kept locking up. The linuxant wrapper works great too and I'd consider paying for it too.

Yep. I messaged Intel technical support and I received the usual :

Quote:

Hello José,

Thank you for contacting Intel(R) Technical Support.

A Linux driver for the Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 2100 wireless network connection is
currently under development.

Unfortunately, at this time there is no official release date scheduled for the
Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 2100 LAN MiniPCI Adapter Linux* drivers.

You can check back at the following link for the latest information on Linux
driver support for the Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 2100 network connection.

Sincerely,
Roberto G.

Current attempts of drivers are scarce and have no funcionality yet. So the only option is Linuxant (at this moment, at least)

I'm quite happy with the linuxant wrapper now, thanks :D
(ndis wrapper would have needed a kernel update...)

From what I've heard these drivers are still in a very early stage...
But then again they're opensource, if that's important to you.
