Intel wireless card drivers?
I intended to install wireless drivers in linux for my Intel network card ... but apparently there are none.
Does anyone know where i could find "freeware" drivers for it, somewhere else? If someone could get me a key generator for the linux ant driver loader ... that would be great. |
Have not had any time with this option or know much about it, but go here http://www.linuxant.com and check out their way of using Winblows NDIS drivers under Linux. I don't know how it works or if it is any good. Maybe some others can check it out and see what they think and comment about it.

I have tried the linuxant driver on my gateway 450x and intel wireless and it works great. So great that I might be willing to pay the $20 US after the free trial.
I had to take care to use the 'w70n51' .sys and .inf Winblows NDIS drivers but after I got them together things worked great. Use 'unzip' to grab the .sys and .inf files from the .exe driver. There is a free NDIS loader out there (I forget where; use google) but I couldn't get it to work. |
I downloaded the linuxant wrapper too. I tried the ndiswrapper first, but it kept locking up. The linuxant wrapper works great too and I'd consider paying for it too.

Yep. I messaged Intel technical support and I received the usual :

(ndis wrapper would have needed a kernel update...) From what I've heard these drivers are still in a very early stage... But then again they're opensource, if that's important to you. |
