Installing Vector Linux using a PCMCIA CDROM
I'm trying to install vector linux on an old Sony Vaio PCG-C1X, one of those really tiny laptops. Anyway, the CD-ROM is a PCMCIA one. The installation starts fine, but once it gets past the partitioning stage it says it can't find the files on my CD-ROM. I'm certain that the problem is that it is simply looking in the wrong place. I'm hoping there's a boot option of some sort when I first load the kernel that tells Vector to look for a PCMCIA drive, but I haven't been able to find any info regarding this on Vector's website or any forums. I tried putting 'pcmcia' and 'pcm' after the kernel at the boot loader as guesses, but alas. Any info? Thanks
