Installing Red Hat 9 on Sony Vaio

Hi,
I am very new to linux. I just found out you could download it.
So last night I downloaded the 3 ISO files for Red Hat 9.
I then burnt them onto 3 CD's. I did this on my Windows XP Desktop.
Well, I have a Sony Vaio Laptop, where XP had gotten all corrupted, so I formatted the hard drive, and am now trying to install Red Hat 9.
(If I like it on the Laptop, I'll also put it on my Desktop)
Well, I put CD1 in the CD Drive, and it loaded up. It asked me to test all 3 CD's, and they all passed.
I then started to install. It said it was loading something called anaconda.
It then loaded into a new good graphic window.
This is where my problem starts.
My Mouse doesn't work properly on it. (It is one of thouse touchpad mouses that laptops have.)
It will move, but it won't go all the way down the window, its like there's an invisible border. Also, the buttons don't quite work on it.
Is there any way to fix this?

Sorry this reply took so long, I had to go to the City overnight.
Well, that page is good, but it doesn't help me because my laptop model isn't listed.
Also, this may or may not help.
But, as the installation is starting, I can move my mouse, and when I click a mouse button, it sometimes responds, but not where a clicked, a little below where I clicked.
But I cannot move my mouse all the way down the screen, yet I can move it all the way up.
Maybe it's not a mouse problem, maybe its a screen problem, and I have to re-align where the screen is. Because everything else works. Does anyone know how I can fix the screen?

I don't know if this will help you, but I made a change to my file XF86Config-4 when I was installing RH 9 on my laptop to get my touchpad to work correctly..

In Section "InputDevice"

I changed
Option "Protocol" "ImPS/2"

to
Option "Protocol" "GlidePointPS/2"

and then my functionality was there.
