Installing Linux on Compaq Presario V6211 au

Hi all

I have got Compaq Presario V6211 au laptop which has

* AMD Turion 64X2 1.6GHz
* Video adapter NVIDIA® GeForce™ Go 6150
* Preloaded Vista Home Basic Version

I want to install the Linux Fedora4 on it.
and want to have both the operating systems(vista and linux),
but as i booted the laptop with linux CD,
it says no hard disk drivers found..
and the laptop re-booted..

Please help..

If u r using SATA hard Disk try to disable the SATA enability. Use Bios settings to disable the SATA option.

Fedora 4 is too old. Try the newer ones for good functionality of all hardware especially in the power management useful in case of laptop. (like CPU freq up/down based in the load...)
