Installing Linux and LILO on a jump drive

is it possible to install a small distro of linux onto a jump drive (also lilo). I am running a dual boot with knoppix 3.4 on hdb1 and windows xp home on hda1...the jump drive is recognized as sda1.

By the way, the jump drive is a small 256 megabyte portable hard drive that is attached via the usb port.

as far as i can see u are talking about a usb flash drive (2.5 inch hdd dont come that small [well u cant buy them in that size now]) soundsquite good.
explains how to install it to a usb drive.

since u have a 256MB drive and this is only 64MB then i guess u could install a few other apps or have sum files on it.

google linux usb drive

also Damn small linux (my favorite small live cd) can run on a usb key [i think].
