installing debian 2.1.8 on a thinkpad 755

hey all,

i found an old thinkpad 755cs in the closet recently and want to put linux on it. i found a debian distro that works with my specs i think. ive got a problem with the installation tho....i can get thru the steps up to 'install operating system kernel and modules', when i get to this it asks for the rescue floppy and installs from there, then it asks for the drivers floppy, which is where i run into problems. it reads the floppy for about 30 sec and then i get the error msg 'the attempt to extract the drivers floppy failed' if anyone has had this problem or knows how to get around it your help would be greatly appreciated....thanx alot in advance

eric
