OK
so, I made a remastersys Squeeze livecd and wanted to test out the remastersys hd installer

installed squeeze to my lappy
a 266mhz 192MB 4GB hd toshiba with pentium II

I got kernel 2.6.30-2-686

I also installed toshset and some other toshiba stuff
none of it works and says I need a kernel that has support for toshiba?

the fan actually works at bootup Until
mid boot where fan shuts off and screen says something about acpi issues
it goes by fast

any ideas?
note my lappys running at 61C!

Take a look at

Seems to me you first need to recompile the kernel
