installation problem with Dell Inspiron N5110

I have Dell Inspiron N5110 laptop with following configuration 1) Intel(R) Core (TM)i3-2350 cpu@2.30GHZ 2) Two GB RAM 3)One GB graphics card etc with windows seven Now i want to install Linux. Previously i install Linux on my desktop very easily, I downloaded various version of Linux i.e. OpenSuse 12.2(32 bit),Linux mint 14.1 mint(64 bit),Knoppix and Ubuntu(32 bit) latest versions but problem is when i am started any Linux on my laptop first i get menu but when click menu, laptop is in ideal position and nothing happened after some time the laptop suddenly shutdowns and i am fail to install a Linux version.So what should i do to install Linux on my laptop? It's difficult to visualize what is going on here.
Pick one flavor of Linux to follow through for the troubleshooting. (I would suggest Mint because of the friendly installer.) Start the install. At each step, make notes of what step it is, what the menu options are, what you select, and what happens when you select a step. You may even take digital photos of the computer screens so you can post the crucial step as an attachment to your post. Try to document precisely where the install fails, then come back to us with more details. |
