I have had problems using Linux in the past on other computers, so I am very leery, but I am still attracted to Linux. I was wondering if I should try a HD install or is the LIVE CD problem a warning NOT to do it? Also, is Linspire wi-fi or wireless friendly? I'm trying to get away from Windoze. Thanks for the advice.

Copmaq Presario V2000

I purchased a Compaq Presario V2000 a little over a year ago with Windows XP. I do not do windows, so I tried to install Linspire 5.0, but it would not work. Linspire support suggested to us the V2, or Linspire 5.1, and it worked. It aslo recognized my wifi upon installation. Mine has the AMD Sempron 3300, with a little less than 1 gig of memory. I think that my 5.0 was worn out. I used it on a lot of computers. The Linspire 6.0 does NOT recognize my wifi, so I put 5.1 back on it. It works wonderfully.
