Install fc10 on compaq presario laptop, won't boot to runlevel 5.

Trying to install FC 10 on new compaq presario laptop. Able to boot to run level 3, unable to boot to run level 5. Laptop has 15.6 Diagonal High-Definition Brightview Widescreen Display. nVidia GeForce 8200M G with shared graphics memory.

Open the file /etc/inittab in your favorite text editor:

As root, gedit /etc/inittab

Find the line:

id:number:initdefault:
Example; id:3:initdefault:

where number is your current default runlevel

Change the number in the middle of the line to the new runlevel that you want your computer to start in by default.

I verified inittab and it was set to run level 3, I changed it to 5 and it would not boot. I wound up installing fc11 beta and it now boots to run level 5. :) Not sure if a later patch in fc10 handles video or fc11, either way I now have an excuse to try fc11 beta.

Thanks
