Hello ring0, welcome to LQ,
are there any other options than to install the packages from a CD/DVD drive? Or did I misunderstand your question and your system stops while booting because it didn't find a CD-device? Markus |
You need to explain a bit more. Did you take a live cd version of debian or what exact version.
At what point does this usb install fail? Do you mean at some point in the installation process it asks for a cd as source or way before the installation program. |
guys,
i used a different a usb stick and this time the debian installer detected it,so i installed debian and everything works well. thanks for your replies!! |
