I ran ubuntu with 3d effects dissabled and I had more problems with ubuntu than mint. I just gave up on Ubuntu and I had way more problems. linux mint accommodates my vision problems. fixing a computer paired with sight issues really makes being a tech geek hard. I hope some of you guys/girls would like help were I am strong with in "IT" "Geek life" speedy and meaty answers is how I learned what I know, practice and reteaching is why Im not exactly a newbie. I wish i had some books, some things tech are almost beyond me or how long i can attempt to solve them per day
also, i look at your posting history - you have 3 threads open for the same piece of hardware, same installation - i think you should concatenate that into one, re-phrase your question properly (see 1st link in my signature).
in other words, get some clarity.
then, you will find, more people will chime in to help.
Distribution: I use kali, centOS and linux mint XFCE gives my computer this nice apple looking LCD clone

thank you for giving me insight on forum usage, I would love more involvement with the Linux comtunity, shuld I close my threads out and rephrase and make one issue per thread. im used to bulding desktops and really picking my hardware for compatibility. laptops leave me no choices. If I find solutions I will post the answer that I found. my model of laptop is common finacal aid students.
it's not about insight on forum usage, it's about you phrasing your question in a way that others are able to help (and along the way, it will probably help you, too, to understand your problem better).
one problem at a time, and provide some useful info.
also: one distro at a time - if you hop to the next distro without solving your problem first, nobody can help solve that problem.
