import on jpilot

I have a Palm Tungsten E and my desktop is Redhat. I have not been able to send files to the palm. Install is sending and installing programs but I am not seeing that files are being put on the palm.
I installed RichReader on the palm and want to send files. I also have Docstogo on there. I am trying to send files I can read. I have tried import and export but neither appear to do anything. What should I do?

Did you look at the jpilot logs? May be there is an error that has not been captured? Try running pilot-xfer at the command line. that might give you a hint of what is happening.
