ICH6M SATA Controller works weird - No DMA

Hi, I have problem with my notebook Fujitsu-Siemens V8010. It has Intel ICH6M chipset with SATA Controller. And SATA II disk Fujitsu MHT2040BH with NCQ. If there is request on disk, iowait time of CPU gets to 100% and whole system gets totally unresponsible.

My notebook details:
CPU: Intel Celeron M 1,4GHz
MEM: 256MB 333MHz
HDD: Fujitsu MHT2040BH SATA II, NCQ, 5400rpm, 8MB buffer
SWP: 512MB swap partition
Chipset: ICH6M 82801FBM
GPU: Intel i915GM integrated

kernel: 2.6.19-rc5

I have no other idea how to solve this problem. I'm not sure whether disk uses correct driver. Friend told me that it may be solved by increasing RAM (i plan buy additional 1024MB RAM for christmas).
Thanks in advance for every hint.

Try this cause it worked for me to get a ich7 booting

go into your bois and put the disk in native mode.

recompile the kernel and remove intel driver and just use the AHCI sata compliant driver.

Thanks...
I'll try to use ahci driver - I was thinking about it. But I hadn't time for doing that. I hope it will be better than that.
In BIOS I have no native mode option, but maybe ahci driver will be enough.
I will reply whether it helps or no.
Thanks one more time.

So, it didn't helped me.
the buffered disk speed maximum decreased to 30MB/sec.
and cd-rw/dvd-rom drive is now known as /dev/hda instead of /dev/scd0

Now I'm not sure that ata_piix driver supports ICH6M fully. Maybe there are few types of ICH6M. And mine is not fully supported.

Thanks in advance for every idea.
