ibook display settings with mandriva


i just installed mandriva limited edititon 2005

installation did not recognize my Ibook G3 display monitor. i am not sure the prefrences (like vertical lines...) of the display because it originially wasnt mine. could someone please please please help me configure this. i have tried for 5+ hours but i truely need some help of someone who knows more than i do.

anyone know how to configure X?
