Ibm 380ed

I have an IBM 380ED that i just put Vector on. This is my first experience with Linux besides RedHat.

I had RH 9 but it was slow like a dog and went for vector. Now the problem is the screen is wierd. Its as if someone cropped the upper right hand corner and zoomed that in to be the entire desktop. I still have the task bar with the workspaces, etc, but there are icons that extend below where the screen ends.

This also causes the graphics and fonts to look bad, sometimes to the point of un-readability.

I have went through xf86config several times, using the exact numbers and card that i have, and alos using generic options. Nothing seems to work.

I posted this question already in the "Newbie" forum but i thought i may have more luck in the laptop section. Maybe something weird with setting up the LCD as a the monitor?

Thanks,

Nathan
