for all linuxer, i had succes installing linux suse 9 professional and redhat 9 but i can't install mandrake on it... with suse i have no problem but with redhat, every time i shutdown or restarting it, the screen always flickering.... anyone can help? but i still love linux.....
i couldn't install mdk 9.2 on an acer travelmate 242 lc either. it wouldn't even boot the stock 2.4.19.mdk kernel. i got through the install routine with the alt1 kernel (2.2.??) but then the machine still wouldn't boot... ah well. i ended up using suse 9 pro... very nice!
