huawei matebook 13 - External screen laggy.

Hello, im running ubuntu 1904. When i connect external monitor via usbc-hdmi adapter the external monitor 27" 2560x is sluggish, its lagging and slow, especially when scrolling, moving mouse and so on.

The laptop is a huawei matebook 13 and has a intel graphic uhd 620 card and it looks like i have all the drivers. The funny thing is if i close the laptop lid and the external display becomes the only display, the lagging is gone and it works perfectly

the internal screen is a hidpi screen that i run at 150% scaling in ubuntu.

inxi -G

gives me
Code:
Graphics: Device-1: Intel UHD Graphics 620 driver: i915 v: kernel
           Display: x11 server: X.Org 1.20.4 driver: none resolution: 2160x1440~60Hz

i think that i maybee figured it out.
Laptop has a hidpi display 13" 3:2 2160x1440
the hdmi display is a 27" 2560x1440

I have enabled a fractional scaling, the main display is at 150% and the 27" is at 100%.
The way that it works in ubuntu 19 is that even tho the external display should just show 100% as 2560x1440 it looks like (as you can see in my first post) it is rendered at 5120x2880 so 2x, it somehow looks like if scaling is enabled both displays have to be scaled the same.

and im new to linux but if the external monitor is actually rendered at 5120 that 5k and there is some limitation that is hitting gpu or cable ?.
If i scale the external monitor to 125% so i get it to 4k, it works and there is no lag or stuttering.

I tried to play with xrandr but i haven't found a way to render it correctly with fractional scaling.

and wayland is ok but the blur for not wayland apps is to big for me.

Maybe you're not used to it.

Do you have connected 27" monitor in QHD and 60Hz to Matebook 13? How did you attach it? I can get only 30Hz or only fullHD.
