ok this will sound a bit nutty. i have two wireless cards on my system. one is integrated and the other is pcmcia card. the reason for this is that i've had problems with the integrated card working with my wireless router. so i bought a dlink dwl-650+ to go with the dlink di-614+ router. the problem is that when i go to mandrake hardware browser, it doesn't see the card. is this because its not loading the pcmcia modules properly? what else could it be?
unfortunately the 650+ has a texas instruments chipset (AX100??) that is not supported under linux.
see if you can return the card for one that is! the dlink 660 works (i think its a rebadged orinoco), thats what I have now...
actually i did get the card working. do you have a ze5385us notebook? i got it to work on mandrake using the orinoco driver that is included. you can configure it through mandrake control center. hope this helps
