Unhappy hp pavilion dv4000 this is the end


hi

do i have to stop and go back to my windows xp

i`m windows user in fact i`m mcse , i heard a bout linux
for along long time and one day i download fedora core 4
and installed on my hp pavilion dv4000 so i can use it pofffff the sound card dosen`t work , video card too every web site i opened theres is users have the same proplem can anyone can help us please....................................

No idea about fedora, but here's a link to someone who got Ubuntu's testing version (Dapper Drake) due for release later this month working on a Pavilion dv4000.

Sound support for Fedora Core 4 was lame. Try the newly released Core 5, which is much better.

Or use SUSE, which is far nicer by half.

yes "144419855310001" i installed Ubuntu in vmware workstation and it`s cool
but even with vmware workstation my sound card did not work with fedora core 4 but with Ubuntu work fine "144419855310001" core 5 has the same problem
i`m planning to install ubuntu in my hp pavlilion dv4000 now but i have winxp so i have to do some reading before...
