Hp Pavilion dv2000 - Can't adjust LCD brightness at all

Hi to all.

I have one HP Pavilion dv2000 and recently installed Slack 13.1 running compiled kernel 2.6.33.4 and I can't adjust LCD brightness through function keys (fn + F7 | fn + F8) in any tty (console neither XfCE). Just before kernel get fully loaded it works nicelly, but after that, lcd brightness stays as it is until I reboot and readjust before kernel loads up. Sux,han?

With previous versions (slackware 13.0 included) It worked without any aditional configurations. I've read lots of threads related to Toshiba (kernel patches and backlight boot parameter) issues but really few regarding pavilion and none with an solution.

I've got no /proc/acpi/video/VGA/LCD/brightness to adjust it manually, as I saw in some threads.

I'm trying to figure out some way to do this without having to get the 2.6.34 kernel, but I'm almost getting to it with little hope that it will help. I dont really wanna downgrade my kernel either.

Anybody got the same problem and can share a solution?
Sorry in advance for my bad english.

Apparently it was an bug from 2.6.33.4.
I've compiled current version (2.6.34) and it works just perfect!!
