Check FC4 suspend to disk and suspend to ram programs. What fn keys turn it on or off, etc. What kernel are you running and what does it support? Does Compaq have info on suspend to ram and disk for your model? Likewise Tuxmobile may have notes for your lappy model suspend2ram or 2disk. Good luck.
