how to set the screen brightness value permanently ?


hi everyone!

i got a new laptop, dell m5110, when it starts, the screen get so bright, i think it's its full value of brightness, every time i start my laptop i have to adjust it manually, is there a way i can set it permanently ?

any suggestions would be appreciated !

Go to the power manangment or on the taskbar click oon battery and perference from their u can adjust the brightness, what is the brightness for battery as well as on AC

yeah, I understand what you mean , but after reboot , it's just the old situation.

I googled a bit and added below into /etc/rc.d/rc.local, not perfect , but it works

echo 2 > /sys/class/backlight/acpi_video0/brightness
