How to make a VM with internal NATed address of 10.0.2.15 accessible on the internet

Using Virtualbox & Vagrant I have built several Linux VMs on my Windows 7 VHost. The IPs of these VMs are as follows:

RHEL-7: 10.0.2.15 port 2222
Ubuntu-12: 10.2.2.15 port 2200

Now, I need to give someone not on my network (out there on the internet) access, so he can open up Putty, put in an IP address, and access my machine. Is that possible? If so, how is done?

Many thanks in advance,

Hiroshi

You will have to dig into port forwarding in your router and possibly firewall rules, They will need your real external ip address to get in, not one of those above. Port forwarding will be the translator if you will. Do not leave it port forwarded any longer than necessary, and use good passwords and/or certificates. You are putting that machine out in the wild. Some routers call it DMZ.

That's gonna be real tough, as this is my desktop at work and another group is in charge of the external FW and the router. I don't even have access to them!

More than tough. Impossible I'd say.

Guess you could look at some remote control to an offsite computer.
